ClearPath Brings Community Together for Blood, Medical Supplies Drive

Editor community, Just For Fun, Leadership

It wasn’t a typical day at ClearPath on Friday, September 22nd!  The crew from the American Red Cross transformed our warehouse area into a multi-bed blood drive center (their efficiency was impressive). Jason Jones became commander in chief as we brought in a huge grill and brats (many thanks to Johnsonville), coolers of juice (donated by TriPhase) and sub sandwiches (courtesy of The Picnic Basket in Nashotah). And of course, thanks to Suddath for providing a truck to transport all of the medical supplies to hurricane-ravaged neighborhoods.

At the end of the day, enough blood was donated to save the equivalent of 72 lives. Other Pewaukee businesses joined in the effort: TriPhase and Goff’s Auto Body sent over large contingents of employees to donate. At one point, the line was out the door…which just gave us more time to get to know our neighbors. And even the record heat didn’t stop our grill crew from cooking up a storm.

Thanks to the folks from The Red Cross (Ali, Eric, Dan, Angie, Terri and Brian) for all your hard work. We challenge other area companies to hold blood drives…The Red Cross makes it really easy.
